In addition to serving as a partner in his law firm, Mr. Chase is the Network Administrator responsible for selecting, purchasing and maintaining, all computer and communications equipment utilized by the firm. Mr. Chase has served on several advisory boards, such as the West Publishing Company CD-Rom Advisory Board and served as a beta-tester for various software products.

Mr. Chase initiated the formation of, and then served on, the tenant's committee at 20 Plaza Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York. While serving on this committee Mr. Chase was instrumental in negotiating the 100 unit buil¬ding's transition to a cooperative, including securing financing for the purchasing shareholders. Subsequent to the building's becoming a cooperative, he filled a variety of offices, including Vice Presi¬dent of the Board of Directors of the 20 Plaza Housing Corp.

Mr. Chase was also the President of Oscawanna Management Corp, a position he held for four years. While serving in this position Mr. Chase spearheaded the transition in ownership from a corporation formed under the General Business Law to one under the Real Estate Law, as well as supervising tax challenges and modernization of this cooperative.

Mr. Chase has done Pro Bono legal work for Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, assisting theaters, dance companies and other arts presenting organizations. A former resident of Flatbush for ten years, he belonged to the South Mid¬wood Residents Association and served as the Chairman of the Legal Commit¬tee of Flatbush Development Corporation as well as its Vice President..

Mr. Chase has lectured at the Adelphi University Nursing School, various hospitals and to members of the Brooklyn Bar Association on issues involving health care and medical malpractice.

Attorney Jules G. Messinger Mr. Messinger graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook ( B.A.1981 - Beta Cum Laude) and earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1984 (Honors Society) and specializes in the practice of personal injury litigation. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1986 and to the United States District Court (Eastern and Southern Districts).

Mr. Messinger is a member in the Brooklyn Bar Association; the New York State Trial Lawyers Association; The Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Messinger joined this firm in 1994 where his special area of practice is personal injury litigation and trial work. Mr. Messinger handles some of the trial work for the firm as well.

Attorney Jeffrey Peters received his B.A. from Boston University in 1974 and his J.D. degree from Nova University Center for the Study of Law in 1977. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1978, followed by the New York Bar in 1979. Formerly Senior Partner of Weicholz, Monteleone, Peters & Studley, LLP, Mr. Peters joined the Law Firm of Weinstein, Chase, Messinger & Peters, P.C. as a partner in 2002. He is a past Prosecutor for the Village of Roslyn Estates (1994-95), with memberships in the Brooklyn Bar Association, the Metropolitan Bar Association and the Brooklyn-Manhattan Trial Lawyers’ Association.

Mr. Peters handles most of the major trial for this law firm. Mr. Peters’ success as a trial attorney has resulted in Weinstein, Chase, Messinger and Peters serving as Trial Counsel for many other law firms. Though his specialty is medical malpractice, he is equally adept in trying cases involving other issues such as general negligence cases such as slip and fall, automobile, construction site injuries along with product liability cases. Recent products cases involve defective stoves, drugs (VIOXX) and airbags.

In addition, Mr. Peters and the firm have developed a substantial expertise and practice involving commercial litigation including especially cases involving breach of contract and construction cases where damage to surrounding properties are being claimed.

Attorney Helene E. Weinstein (Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein; Judiciary Committee Chair) earned her law degree at New England School of Law in 1976. She is now of counsel to the firm. Helene was admitted to the New York bar, 1977, New York, U.S. District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and U.S. Superme Court.
